• We offer outdoor activities that require the least possible use of motorised vehicles and take care of the natural areas we use.
• Our employees will help our participants experience how they can enjoy fantastic experiences in Norway without harming the environment and nature.
• Rafting, riverboarding and rappelling are activities that can be carried out without damaging wildlife and the environment. We also take consideration of land owners, fishing areas and hunting.
• The High Ropes park uses old forest with sustainable methods and is inspected by an arborist each year.
• The Elvatun and Elva Restaurant offers locally produced, low carbon footprint produce as much as possible.
• The Elva Hotell is built with as environmentally as possible following the TEK17 specification. The hotel uses ground-to-water heat pump and solar technology for heating, cooling and energy production.
• We sort and recycle all waste and are certified under the Environment Lighthouse standard.

Safety

• Our High Ropes Course is registered as an activity park which falls under the jurisdiction of SJT (Norwegian Railway Authority) This cover certification of the park, routines for inspection, repairs, operation, staff competence, rescue plans and liability insurance. 
• All our activities are subject to requirements for product control and associated regulations subject to the Directorate for Safety and Emergency Preparedness (DSB).
• Voss Active is also a member of the Norwegian Rafting Organization, which has prepared a safety standard for rafting in Norway.
• Voss Active has a comprehensive Internal Control that deals with security measures for every single activity we offer, with associated risk analysis.
• The internal control also embraces requirements set by the Norwegian Food Safety Authority for the operation of commercial kitchens and requirements in connection with serving licenses and serving licenses.
• Of course, Voss Active complies with all requirements for HSE, working environment, liability insurance and licenses.
• We offer legal passenger transport following Norwegian law. We have passenger licenses covering 6 vehicles including 4 busses and drivers with the required experience and passenger licenses.
